HISTORY
The volcanic activity that produces this beautiful stone dates back nearly 187 million years ago. They began forming in the volcanic flow, but did not originate from normal mountainous volcanos. The lava actually flowed in waves along lower rocks and rolled across the landscape depositing layer upon layer of quartz, creating the extra fine banding and patterns which make Botswana Agate highly unique and desirable.
